Not fW. Credit where credit is due Frank Lampard and his youngsters have been fantastic and have gone from strength to strength.
6 wins in a row in the Premier League is no small feat. It's actually not just the results it is the energy and confidence of their football that has caught our eye.
The youngsters truly have been fantastic and our favourite Tammy Abraham has exceeded all pre season expectations.
Internal break time next game against Man City....who are sitting behind Chelsea in the League. This could be the pivotal game for Chelsea's season in terms of what can and maybe will be achieved. At the moment you would, with some confidence, predict a top 4 finish.....but if they can get a result against Man City maybe they will become the challengers for Liverpool this season. Leicester of course might have something to say about that.
Chelsea's last defeat in the League was against Liverpool. A simple 2-1 defeat at home but it was never that. In reality we saw then that Chelsea under Frank were more than just a team of youngsters. On the day against Liverpool it was probably their momentum that took them through....against Man City on the 23rd November the momentum is firmly with Chelsea.
For us we see Frank as the right manager at the right time for Chelsea. The transfer ban has been perfect for Frank and to some degree forced his hand. He has had to put his faith in youth and he has done so with total conviction and total belief. He respects them and they most definitely respect him.
It has for us been a real surprise but we are genuinely delighted to see the youth shining for Chelsea and we like many others see a Chelsea that has found it's identity under Franks guidance.
So Franks mid term report.....an A+ from us!
