How it works

What is it all about?

The basis of the all the Footballwinners games are to pick winners, losers, scorers, teams, players, managers etc from a list that is chosen, normally weekly, by the Football Winners team.  Footballwinners provides three core games which are all unique to Footballwinners and various custom games, which are also unique to Footballwinners.  Both the core and custom games are play for fun giving you the chance to pitch your footballing knowledge against friends and family.

Core Game 1 - WINNERS

How well do you know football?

  • Pick 10 winners from the Top 25 fixtures from the latest week from Premier, Championship, League 1 and League 2.
  • To win the player must correctly select 10 winners.
  • If there are not 10 winners from the 25 matches available, then no winner.
  • The game will be run on a weekly basis.
  • The game will only include weekend games (Friday-Sunday)
  • The games will be available to play up to two weeks in advance.
  • The winner’s game is run by Tuesday the following week and winners will be notified automatically.

 

Core Game 2 - Best Picks

How well do you know football?

  • Pick 10 winners from the Top 25 fixtures from the latest week from Premier, Championship, League 1 and League 2.
  • Points will be calculated based on the following:
    • 3 points for correctly picking winner
    • 0 points for a draw
    • -3 points for picking a loser.
  • The game will be run on a weekly basis.
  • The game will only include weekend games (Friday-Sunday)
  • The games will be available to play up to two weeks in advance.
  • The Best Picks game is run by Tuesday the following week and winners will be notified automatically via email
  • Each player will appear in a League table (based on points achieved)
  • The League table accumulates over the season

 

Core Games 3 - Football Losers

How well do you know football?

  • Pick 10 losers from the top 25 fixtures from the English Premier, Scottish Premier, Championship, League 1 and League 2.
  • To win the player must correctly select 10 losers
  • If there are not 10 losers from the top 25 matches available, then no winner.
  • The game will be run on a weekly basis.
  • The game will only include weekend matches (Friday - Sunday)
  • The games will be available to play up to two weeks in advance.
  • The loser’s game is run by Tuesday the following week and winners will be notified automatically

Custom Games

Just Pick 10 Winners!

  • Footballwinners has been designed and built to enable all sorts of new custom football games all on the basis of picking 10.
  • Customs games can be weekly, monthly or even annually (i.e. fantasy style)
  • All custom games will be unique to footballwinners and will be on the basis of making picks from a published list.
  • Games will be prediction based such as Top Scorers, Premier Predictor, Championship predictor, etc.

We have big plans at Footballwinners.

The game concept was originally launched in 2001, in 2003 the games and the game concept was protected.

Footballwinners has been active on-line since 2008.  In the early days the game was offered with both a play for fun and play for real option.

Today all the games are Prediction based and of course all FOOTBALL.  All games are play for fun and all games are available to anyone with access to the web!
