What a season!

Footballwinners may have gone quiet but not so for the Premier League or the Championship.

Another fantastic season in the Premier League.  Will we see a new kid on the block steal 4th spot from Liverpool or will Rafa be able to live up to his promise to the Liverpool faithfull?
Portsmouth already look doomed.  No money, no website ( mistake), reduced playing staff and no goals.  Who do we tip to join portsmouth?  Of the new boys, Burnley look the most likely to drop.  Then for us it is either West Ham, Blackburn, Wolves or Hull.  Our final tip for the drop is Hull.

The Championship continues to learch all over the place.  On their day it appears that any team can beat any other team.  Newcastle, West Brom have looked strong all season and Nottingham Forest put a fantastic run together to put them in contention for an automatic spot.  We predict Newcastle and West Brom will secure the top two positions with Nottingham Forest and Cardiff looking good for two of the four playoff spots.  After that, who knows.  Still would not back against Ipswich or QPR!
Some amazing results this you know Footballwinners follows the exploits of Bristol City FC.  This year we were unfortunate to sit through a 6-0 HOME defeat to bitter rivals Cardiff.  I am still getting over the pain!

Rangers in Administration

How can one of the top two teams in Scotland end up in Administration?  Why are football clubs so badly run?  There is so much greed in football this is why clubs like Rangers and Portsmouth end up in Administration.

I am a Bristol City supporter and I would hate to see my club in administration or go bust and disappear but why is it the football clubs are immune from normal business practices?  We are in a recession that has seen some well known, well loved brands disappear from our high streets, so why are football clubs allowed to continue.  It is about time the government stopped stepping in and allowed clubs to go bust and disappear.  That has to be the only way to get the message out to the rest of the operators of the football clubs that this is a business and must be run like one.  Need to learn to balance the books and stop paying ludicruios wages to average players.

I don't want to see anyone's club go bust but at the same time this nonsense must stop.
